Millennial Women – Are You Living an Intentional Life?
The majority of us millennial women are far from aware of how we speak to and think about ourselves, other’s, money, success, failure and so on. We live on auto-pilot through deeply rooted habits and beliefs. Most of these habits and beliefs have been developed unintentionally. Often through experiences and upbringing. Unfortunately most of them don’t serve us.
You’ve probably felt like you know what you need to do to achieve something but for some reason you can never consistently carry out the actions required. It’s called self-sabotage. As a result our conscious mind wants something but it doesn’t line up with what our sub-conscious “thinks” we want.
So we unintentionally make choices that hinder our ability to stay on top of our boss game.
If you can relate, here’s what to do.
Be aware. Start listening to your thoughts and paying attention to what’s coming out of your mouth. Don’t judge or try and stop the thoughts, just become aware of how bizarre they are. Be the watcher. This is the first step to learning that you are not your thoughts. I recommend the Untethered soul in my recommended reads. The teachings of Michael Singer rocked my world.
Figure out what exactly it is you want. For example, the person you want to be and the things you want to achieve in extreme detail.
Re-programming your subconscious with the specifics of what you want. There are a few techniques you can turn to. I suggest sticking to one teaching. I’ve made the mistake of hopping all over the place, and it wastes time. You cam check out The Science of Getting Rich and Think and Grow Rich in my recommended reads.
Take a look at your influence (the 5 people you spend the most time with) , and ask yourself if they are headed down the same path you want to walk in life. If they are, cherish them. Mastermind, dream, hold each other accountable and support each other. Furthermore, if they are not, then its time to let them down easy. Humans are highly influential – things will become normal to us without even noticing.

The beauty of being born as millennial women in this digital economy is we can connect with mentors and coaches with a few clicks. As a result of connecting with a community of entrepreneurs I’ve had substantial success getting through the necessary personal growth day in and day out. And finally;
Stick to it. Consistency is the master key to success. Therefore every time you feel like you’ve failed, you need to absolutely know and believe it is in fact only a bump along the way. Each bump is meant to leave you with a lesson. Allow that to happen.
Taking 5 years and hitting a lot of hard bumps on the road is better than never arriving at all.
Live intentionally, think intentionally and life will give you what you bargain for.
